Philosophy

I believe that diets DO NOT work.

  • Every “body” is different and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healthy living.

I believe that we are overfed, yet undernourished.

  • Simply put, food can either be your medicine or your poison, it’s your choice. Quality counts when it comes to what we feed ourselves.

I believe that being BUSY is overrated.

  • Busy may be the new buzz word but, even though we are doing more, we are less and less fulfilled. When you learn to get quite and listen, your body will tell you exactly what she needs. You may even find yourself craving spinach (yes, spinach) or a good night’s sleep.

I believe that you are enough, right now!

  • You are a perfectly, imperfect , magnificent being – right NOW, not when you lose 5, 10, 30, 50 pounds, tone up your arms or find a mate. Learning to calm the panic and trusting yourself are the first steps to unconditional, self-acceptance.

I believe that when we let go of the past, we free up today.

  • Many of us are carrying the weight of the past with us. Forgiving ourselves and others is a liberating act that helps release any burdens that may be weighing us down today.

I believe that FUN is fundamental to being fulfilled.

  • Pleasure is an essential nutrient we need to feed ourselves every day. This key ingredient is often overlooked or we only allow it to be sprinkled sporadically into our lives.

I believe in moving our bodies in a way that honors our soul.

  • We all know that exercise is a key component to a healthy lifestyle but that no pain, no gain motto is outdated. There are plenty of ways to move that feel good.

I believe that we need to master the art of our own self-care.

  • Women are often taught that self-sacrifice is synonymous with being a “good woman”. Caring for yourself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation.

I believe that life is all about the choices we make every day. More often than not, we are running on auto pilot and not fully aware of the habits we created. These old thinking patterns may no longer be serving us. The good news is that we have the power to choose differently.
